Traditional kitchens making a comeback

Kitchen trends are constantly changing and next year could see the return of the traditional look.
According to kitchen design expert Paul O'Brien, natural materials and organic shapes will be hot in 2011.
Indeed, they could soon be replacing the sleek black worktops, high gloss units and US-style refrigerators that have been popular in recent years.
Mr O'Brien said homeowners are beginning to favour furniture made from wood and textured lacquered materials which add "depth and character" to the kitchen.
"When times are tough customers tend to look for a more traditional timeless look, either by opting for classic furniture or choosing ageless colours such as beige, cream and white," he explained.
The expert said these neutrals can always be enhanced with accent colours, perhaps in the form of an attractive backsplash.
A traditional kitchen may be more likely to withstand change interior design trends, so could be a great choice for those hoping to sell their home in a few years.
